Banter Review

Saturday 5 November saw the first direct Dialogue festival draw to a close but top comedy served up from the likes of Adam Riches and Francesca Martinez ensured it went out with a bang.

The Banter night curated by the hilarious Mark Dolan kicked off the evening at the beautiful St Peters Church. 2011 Edinburgh Comedy Festival winner, Adam Riches got the proceedings off to a fantastic start with a jam packed set that included a hilarious caricature of Daniel Day Lewis, water gun, skateboarding chameleons and tic tac sharing! Interactive comedy at its best!

Will Self and Matthew De Abaitau took their very own brand of dry humour to the stage for a mock interview session.

Later Mark Dolan fulfilled a personal ambition by hosting his very own chat show with members of the audience and revelations of doughnuts and ankle waxing had the audience in stiches.

The wonderful Francesca Martinez took to the stage to share her experiences of being 'wobbly' and shared hilarious yet heart warming stories about her experience of disability growing up. Dan Antopolksi rounded off the evening wearing Christmas knitwear that only a Grandmother would be proud of and treated the audience to a mind baffling mathematical formula for Bob Marley's 'No Woman No Cry'.
