Author of just under 20 books, innumerable major newspaper articles and columns, Will Self is famed for his a satirical commentary on British life. In 2008, Will`s The Butt received the Wodehouse prize for comic fiction at the Hay Festival. He was a one-time permanent team captain on Vic `n` Bob`s Shooting Stars and makes regular appearances on Have I Got News for You. Will once went by foot to California and wrote as a result Walking to Hollywood, an `inventive memoir` which Self describes as `Angela`s Ashes rewritten by Groucho Marx`.
Will is joined on the night by journalist and writer Matthew De Abitua, the former editor of cult magazine The Idler. Together they will be performing a live interview confessional-stand-up on high stools, with a Q and A session thrown in for good measure.
